  Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so better not forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. The nature scenery of Pennington County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. There are nice comfortable hotels here, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. Getting a good workout and just hanging
    out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. There are no other stretches to paddle along Rapid Creek than the Heisga to Dark Canyon stretch.

sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Rapid Creek.
