The average Tennessee whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. This is the only paddling section along Bald River. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. Getting your paddling muscles     activated and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This section of Bald River is 6 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-IV(V) section. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The Great Smoky Mountains scenery is wonderful. Briefly about the general area: A great deal of rain falls at Bald River; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and October on the other hand is the driest. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Great Smoky Mountains. A journey to Bald River Falls will fill your soul with delightful feelings, and going for a hike on the Bald River Trail   is always a glorious adventure. For the period of the months of summer at Bald River highs are frequently in the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, generally in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and nighttime lows throughout the wintertime for Bald River tend to be in the 20's. Since you're here at Bald River why not stop by Skull Gap, and close by you come across the Henderson Mountain Trail which is a nice hiking trail. This river is so great.
