The wonderful Jackson County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Blackburn Fork are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not

Briefly about the general area: The high level of precipitation makes Blackburn Fork a pretty wet place; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Tom Allen Hollow is a great place to spend some
time at. Summertime highs at Blackburn Fork typically tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are regularly in the 40's while Blackburn Fork nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's.
