The wild scenery of the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is great. This stretch of Caney     Fork is 9.1 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-V section. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. The Clifty Bridge to Bee Creek stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: Caney Fork is a wet spot that gets much rainfall; March is when you get the most rain here; October   on the other hand is the driest. During the days of summer at Caney Fork temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Caney Fork descend into the 20's.
