Bee Creek to Collins River section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS I-III 27.1 miles
The Bee Creek to Collins River stretch of Caney Fork in Tennessee is 27.1 miles long and is a class I-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The natural beauty of White/Van Buren/Warren County and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. The starting location is a short drive from McMinnville, as you can see on the road map further down. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. The wild scenery of the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is great. You might be into whitewater
rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good spots for that around here. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers
here a bit more challenging, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your sleeping bag. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
