The Indian Boundary to Below Pigs in Space stretch of Citico Creek in Cherokee County is 4 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Great     Smoky Mountains scenery is wonderful. The starting point is not too far from Knoxville. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Tennessee are harder than the national norm, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Indian Boundary to Below Pigs in Space section is one of them. Briefly about the general area: Why not take a refreshing hike along the Indian Boundary Lake Trail, and Citico Creek is right by the Rocky Flats Trail. Citico Creek usually gets much rain; through   March this area sees the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. During the warm months highs here at Citico Creek get into the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. All through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Citico Creek are in the 20's. Yeah, come up here to the Great Smoky Mountains for a brilliant time.
