The put-in is not too far from Knoxville. This stretch of Citico Creek in Tennessee is 17 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. Whitewater paddling here in the Great Smoky Mountains is a great experience. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. The Doublecamp to Little Tennessee River section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system.
The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Tennessee are often more challenging than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming
