The beautiful scenery of unknown County and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the US 127 to Barnett Bridge stretch is just one of them. The beautiful Cumberland Plateau Mountains     scenery is an added bonus. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so pack your sleeping bag. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Crossville. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Clear Creek commonly tend to be in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are typically in the 40's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Clear Creek tend to be in the 20's.   Clear Creek sees pretty high levels of rainfall; during the month of March you get the most rain around here, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Big Hollow is a good spot to go to close by.
