This section of Clear Creek is 2.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III section of whitewater. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The natural beauty of Morgan County and the water flowing gracefully down Clear Creek are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The starting point is not too far from Harriman. There are campgrounds
quite near the river where you can camp. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling rivers. The river
winds through the Cumberland Plateau Mountains and you get great scenery. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The Jett to Lilly section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. This is a short paddling stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.
