The wonderful Tennessee scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. When you're paddling down a Cumberland Plateau Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. If you're coming from Harriman it's not a long drive at all to the starting location. This
section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The Lilly to Nemo section of Clear
Creek in Morgan County is 7.5 miles long and is a class II-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Lilly to Nemo stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system.

Clear Creek sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month.
