The starting point is not too far from Harriman. The nature scenery of Tennessee and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. The Brewster Bridge to Burnt Mill Bridge section of Clear Fork is 10 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II+ section. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so go ahead and pack your
camp stove. The Brewster Bridge to Burnt Mill Bridge stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of spots for that. The Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is wonderful. Not too many
hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The average Tennessee whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so better not forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners.
