Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. This is the only paddling stretch along Clifty Creek. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. If you're coming from Crossville it's     not a long drive at all to the put-in location. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. This is an extremely short stretch so no need to bring snacks. The scenic beauty of Smith County and the water flowing gracefully down Clifty Creek make the trip here worthwhile. The wild scenery of the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is great.
