The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. The nature scenery of Tennessee and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Jacks River to US 411 Bridge section is one of them. Getting
a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations
you might end up sleeping in your car. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This section of Conasauga River in Polk County is 10.1 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III section. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so go ahead and pack your camp stove.
Briefly about the general area: All the water falling down from the sky makes Conasauga River a wet site; the month with most of the rain is March, and October on the other hand is the driest. High temperatures at Conasauga River all through
