The put-in location is a short drive from Cleveland, as you can see on the road map further down. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Tennessee you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so better not forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. The beautiful scenery of Polk County and the water flowing gracefully down Conasauga River attract people from near and far. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
This section of Conasauga River in Tennessee is 10.1 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good spots. There are
a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
Briefly about the general area: Conasauga River is a quite wet place typically with a large amount of rain; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Conasauga River Trail, and Browder Spring is an
inspiring location to take a look at while you're here. This river is a great place to visit. A nice location to take a look at in the vicinity of Conasauga River is Sluder Gap. The warmest time of the year at Conasauga River comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the
night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. Through the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Conasauga River. You must positively go to Wilson Bend if you're here at Conasauga River, and a short trip to Browder Spring is always worthwhile.
