The natural beauty of Morgan County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This section of Crab Orchard Creek in Morgan County is 13.5 miles long and it is classified as a class II-IV section by American Whitewater. This section is long enough for an     overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your camping stuff. There are some good hotels near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. The Flat Rock Ford to Oakdale stretch is the only paddling stretch along Crab Orchard Creek. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. The river winds through the Cumberland Plateau Mountains and you get great scenery.
