I checked out your map it's a little off Big Lick Rd isn't there anymore. Says Johnnie Hassler The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Tennessee are often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Crossville, as you can see on the road map further down. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. The nature scenery of Tennessee and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. You   might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is wonderful. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. This section of Daddy's Creek in Tennessee is 17.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II section of whitewater. There's camping available near Daddy's Creek. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Big Lick to Sutton Dam section is one of them. Briefly about the general area: Parham Gap is a perfect place to visit close by, and a short visit to Head of Sequatchie is always worthwhile. Yeah, come up here to the Cumberland Plateau Mountains for a great time. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Daddy's Creek. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 40's with temperatures at Daddy's Creek dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights.
