Sutton Dam to Antioch Bridge section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS I-II 13 miles
I have 2 sons 11 and 14. Interested in white water rafting. What do you suggest? Says Terri
The Sutton Dam to Antioch Bridge section of Daddy's Creek is 13 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II section of whitewater. The beautiful scenery of Cumberland County and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping
in your car. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The put-in is not too far from Crossville, as you can see on the road map further down. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Tennessee is often more difficult than elsewhere, so keep in mind that many runs in this
state are not easy. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of spots for that. Whitewater paddling here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is a great experience. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Sutton Dam to Antioch Bridge section is one of them. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your camping stuff too.
