Tennessee whitewater - Daddy's Creek, Cumberland Plateau Mountains, Cumberland County Cumberland county, Antioch Bridge to Devils Breakfast Table Bridge section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS III-V     6.8 miles   This section of Daddy's Creek in Cumberland County is 6.8 miles long and is a class III-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The starting location is a short drive from Crossville, as you can see on the road map further down. The wonderful Tennessee scenery and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because     these hotels fill up quick. The campgrounds here at Daddy's Creek are pretty good. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. The river winds through the Cumberland Plateau Mountains and you get great scenery. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Tennessee you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. Briefly about the general area: Daddy's Creek is a wet spot that gets lots of rain; through March this area sees the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. For the duration   of the warm days of summer at Daddy's Creek highs are commonly in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Daddy's Creek. Dripping Spring is always fun to check out.
