The natural beauty of Hamilton County and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. The Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is wonderful. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your     car. This stretch is short so no need to bring snacks. This is the only paddling stretch along Deep Creek. The Mowbray to Soddy section of Deep Creek is 1.75 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class V section of whitewater. Briefly about the general area: Put some time aside to spend at Hineman Spring since you're here at Deep Creek; close by you discover Clemmons Point. Deep Creek sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is March while October is the month with the least amount   of precipitation. All through the warm months highs here at Deep Creek reach the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Deep Creek. You truly should like the Cumberland Plateau Mountains.
