If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. This stretch of Doe River - Laurel Fork in -blank- County is 5 miles long and is a class IV-V(V+) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Johnson City, please print out a copy of the road map further
down the page so you won’t get lost. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The beautiful scenery of -blank- County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here
and paddle. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too.
