For all you camping people there are campgrounds     nearby. The Gap Road to Piney River at Spring City section is the only paddling section along Duskin Creek. The wonderful Bledsoe Rhea County scenery and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. The beautiful Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is an added bonus. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. This section is quite short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Briefly about the general area: A good deal of rainfall falls at Duskin Creek;   through the month of March you get the most rain around here while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Stinging Fork Falls is an inspiring location to stop by while you're here. Summertime highs at Duskin Creek ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Duskin Creek dip into the 20's.
