The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Tennessee are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. The Gap Road to Piney River at Spring City section of Duskin Creek in Tennessee is 2 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. Great exercise and     just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. The Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is wonderful. The nature scenery of Bledsoe Rhea County and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. Duskin Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Gap Road to Piney River at Spring City section is the only one. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is a short paddling stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. There's camping available near Duskin Creek. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. Briefly about the general area: Duskin   Creek sees pretty high levels of rainfall; most of the rain falls during March, and the driest month of the year is October. Through the months of summer highs here at Duskin Creek reach the 80's while night lows are regularly in the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Duskin Creek all through the winter frequently sink into the 20's. Stinging Fork Falls is a good local attraction.
