The Ozone Falls to White's Creek stretch of Fall Creek in Tennessee is 6 miles long and is a class II-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is wonderful.
This stretch has has enough mileage, it's perfect for a one day trip. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is the only paddling section along Fall Creek. The scenic beauty of Tennessee and the sparkling of
the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Harriman, as you can see on the road map further down.
Briefly about the general area: All year is a brilliant time in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains if you love the outdoors. Put some time aside to spend at Sulphur Spring while you're here at Fall Creek; don't leave Fall Creek without first checking out Beech Bottom. This river
is so perfect. Wildcat Hollow is next to Fall Creek and is a glorious place; if you're hooked on cool geologic traits try Negro Jumpoff. During the warm months at Fall Creek highs are typically in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime
come with highs in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Fall Creek temperatures drop to the 20's. Laurel Falls is a glorious local attraction, and Buzzard Point is around here and always brilliant to explore. All the water falling down from the sky makes Fall Creek a wet place; March is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is October.
