Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Tennessee is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The beautiful scenery of Tennessee and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. There are no other stretches to paddle along Goforth Creek than the to Ocoee stretch. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Briefly about the general area: Goforth Creek generally gets a lot of rain; during March this area sees the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest   month. There is a splendid hiking trail in close proximity to Goforth Creek called the Rogers Branch Trail, and going for a hike on the Dry Pond Lead Trail is always a great adventure. Summertime at Goforth Creek comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Goforth Creek. Yeah, come up here to the Great Smoky Mountains for a great time.
