Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Tennessee tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The put-in is not too far from Crossville. The campgrounds here at Henderson Cr are pretty good. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The beautiful Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is an added bonus. Getting     some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. There are no other stretches to paddle along Henderson Cr than the Liberty Hill Road to Laurel stretch. This section of Henderson Cr in Tennessee is 7 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class V section. There are some good hotels near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. Briefly about the general area: Going for a hike on the Laurel-Snow Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and a journey to Laurel Falls will fill your soul with nice feelings. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Don't   leave Henderson Cr without first paying a visit to Snow Falls. Henderson Cr is a wet place that gets a lot of rain; March is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is October. Summertime at Henderson Cr comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Henderson Cr.
