CLASS V 7 miles
The wonderful Rhea County scenery and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. This section of Henderson Cr is 7 miles long and has been rated as a class V section by American Whitewater. The put-in location is a short drive from Crossville. Whitewater paddling here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is a great experience. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but if you
don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. Since you're on this site you are probably into
whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. This is the only paddling section along Henderson Cr.
