Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Tennessee tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. This section of Henderson Cr is 7 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class V section. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers.     There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The starting location is a short drive from Crossville. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The Liberty Hill Road to Laurel section is the only paddling section along Henderson Cr. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's perfect for a one day trip. The wild scenery of the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is great. Briefly about the general area: The Laurel-Snow Trail is a wonderful hiking trail in close proximity to Henderson Cr; Snow Falls is a great local attraction. Henderson Cr is a wet place that gets a good deal of rain; most of the rain falls throughout March;   October is when it's the driest. Having a great time in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is trouble-free. Laurel Falls is always fun to check out. For the duration of the days of summer highs here at Henderson Cr get into the 80's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs throughout the wintertime are commonly in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Henderson Cr temperatures fall to the 20's.
