The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Sevierville, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The nature scenery of Tennessee and the water flowing gracefully down Little River attract people from near and far. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There
are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Huskey Gap Branch to Elkmont C.Highway stretch is just one of many. This is a bit of a short stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. The beautiful Great Smoky Mountains scenery is an
added bonus. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. The campgrounds here at Little River are pretty good. The Huskey Gap Branch to Elkmont C.Highway section of Little River in Sevier County is 2.2 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-IV section.

along the Sugarland Mountain Trail; Ober Gatlinburg is a pleasant local ski area. So much amusing stuff to do in the Great Smoky Mountains, not sufficient time. Going for a hike along the Jakes Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and a glorious
location to pop by close by is Coon Hollow. Through the summertime at Little River temperatures are commonly in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's; night lows all through
the winter for Little River tend to be in the 20's. The high level of precipitation makes Little River a pretty wet spot; March is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is October.
