The scenic beauty of Tennessee and the water flowing gracefully down Little River make the trip here worthwhile. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Tennessee are often more challenging than in other states, so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The starting point is not too far from Sevierville, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The Bridge at Elkmont to Sinks section of Little River in Tennessee is 7 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater
according to American Whitewater. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. The beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains is a great plus for this river. This stretch has has enough mileage,
suitable for an afternoon trip. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well.

Going for a hike along the Jakes Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and Ober Gatlinburg is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood. All through the days of summer here at Little River, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's, and during
summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Little River tend to be in the 20's. This river is so good. Have a great hiking adventure along the Laurel Falls Trail. Laurel
Falls is a lovely location to visit while you're at Little River, and Cherry Gap is also a delightful place to look at. A great deal of rain falls at Little River; the month with most of the rain is March; October is when it's the driest.
