If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The river winds through the Great Smoky
Mountains and you get great scenery. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. There are some good hotels near
the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. This stretch is short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The beautiful scenery of Sevier County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle.
