The starting location is a short drive from Chattanooga, as you can see on the road map further down. The nature scenery of Tennessee and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. The river winds through the Cumberland Plateau Mountains and you get great scenery. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night,
but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The average Tennessee whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving.
This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The To Route 111 right past Dunlap stretch of Little Brush Creek is 2.5 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. This section is quite short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.

and always great to explore, and Cunningham Hollow is positively a pleasant spot to visit. All the water falling down from the sky makes Little Brush Creek a wet place; March is the wettest month with most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This spot, the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting things. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Little Brush Creek temperatures are regularly in the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly colder of course, usually in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's while Little Brush Creek nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's.
