This section of Little Brush Creek is 2.5 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. The scenic beauty of Sequatchie County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. Whitewater paddling here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is a great experience. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. If you're coming from Chattanooga it's not a long drive
at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. This is a somewhat short section so better bring some good walking shoes. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Tennessee is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better not forget that the rivers in this
state are less manageable. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
