If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Tennessee you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The starting location is a short drive from Harriman, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The Highway 62 to Lily stretch of Little Clear Creek in Tennessee is 3 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V section. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging
out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Highway 62 to Lily stretch is just one of many. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. This is
a bit of a short stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. When you're paddling down a Cumberland Plateau Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The wonderful Tennessee scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile.

the days of summer are in the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Little Clear Creek dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Little Clear Creek generally gets a large amount of rain; through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and October on the other hand is the driest.
