The Ford Close to Right Fork to Kring Hollow Road stretch of Little Emory River in Morgan County is 4 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III section of whitewater. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Harriman, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. No matter if you're
whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The Ford Close to Right Fork to Kring Hollow
Road stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. The beautiful Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is an added bonus.

a visit to McGee Spring. A great deal of precipitation falls at Little Emory River; throughout March this area sees the most rain; the driest month is October. At Little Emory River all through the summer months highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the
60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Little Emory River temperatures fall to the 20's. Be careful coming to the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, you might not ever wanna return back home again.
