The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. This is a bit of a short stretch so no need to bring snacks. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. Little Loss Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the into Big Loss Creek stretch is the only one. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of spots for that. The wild scenery of the Great Smoky Mountains is great. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: So many enjoyable things to do here in the Great Smoky Mountains, too perfect to be true. Go for a hike on the Oswald Dome Trail. Don't leave Little Loss Creek without first going for a hike along the Rogers Branch Trail; you might also want to pay   a visit to Big Hollow since you're here at Little Loss Creek. The high level of rain makes Little Loss Creek a rather wet location; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is October. For the duration of the summer highs here at Little Loss Creek get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are usually in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Little Loss Creek descend into the 20's.
