The wonderful Tennessee scenery and the cool fresh water have people coming here. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. If you're coming from Sevierville it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up
sleeping in your car. The river winds through the Great Smoky Mountains and you get great scenery. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. This stretch is very short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. A good workout
