The starting location is a short drive from Sevierville, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The nature scenery of Sevier County and the cool fresh water beats anything. No need to look hard for hotels, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This section is quite short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours
on the river in one stretch. The Ramsey's Cascade trailhead to Porters Creek confluence section of Little Pigeon River - Middle Prong in Sevier County is 1.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV+ section. There are plenty of other sections
in this river system that can be paddled as well. Whitewater paddling here in the Great Smoky Mountains is a great experience.
