The put-in is not too far from Sevierville, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The nature scenery of Tennessee and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The average Tennessee whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. River - West Prong in Tennessee is 2.5 miles long and is a class IV-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. There are nice comfortable hotels
here, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places.
