The beautiful scenery of Sevier County and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The Great Smoky Mountains scenery is wonderful. The Gatlinsburg to 1st bridge in Pigeon Forge section of Little Pigeon River - West Prong in Sevier County is 6.6 miles long and is a class II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. On this section you do get some distance, you can easily
    run it on an afternoon. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. This river system
is full of great paddling sections, the Gatlinsburg to 1st bridge in Pigeon Forge section is just one of them. There are many good hotels to choose from, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
