Grandview TenNorth to Piney River section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS III-IV(V+) 1.75 miles
If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Tennessee you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so better not forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The wonderful Tennessee scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. This is a short paddling stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. For all you camping people there are campgrounds
nearby. The Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is wonderful. This section of Little Piney Creek in Tennessee is 1.75 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-IV(V+) section. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Crossville, as you can
see on the road map further down. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Grandview TenNorth to Piney River section is one of them. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
