  If you're coming from Sevierville it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The wonderful Tennessee scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. This is a somewhat short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. This section of Little River - Middle Prong in Blount County is 3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III-IV section. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking
    there are lots of good rivers for that around here. The beautiful Great Smoky Mountains scenery is an added bonus. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. The Lynn
Camp and Thunderhead Prong Confluence to Tremont Institute stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.

Big Hollow is a great place to discover; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Meigs Mountain Trail.
