The starting point is not too far from Chattanooga, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The natural beauty of Marion County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. There's camping available near Little Sequatchie. On this section you do get some distance, suitable for an afternoon trip. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have     to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Indian Creek to Sequatchie River section is just one of them. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling spots. Briefly about the general area: Jones Point is next to Little Sequatchie and is a great site to explore, and Alum Cove is positively a fine spot to take a look at. Summertime at Little Sequatchie arrives with high temperatures   in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Little Sequatchie. Don't leave Little Sequatchie without first paying a visit to Blowing Spring.
