The nature scenery of Blount County and the water flowing gracefully down Lynn Camp Prong beats anything. This stretch of Lynn Camp Prong is 3 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class IV-V(V+) section of whitewater. There are no other stretches to paddle along Lynn Camp Prong than the to confluence with Thunderhead Prong stretch. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The wild scenery of the Great Smoky Mountains is great. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out
on the river for a while are great reasons to come. The put-in location is a short drive from Sevierville, as you can see on the road map further down. This stretch is short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots
in Tennessee are harder than the national norm, so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby.

A lot of precipitation falls at Lynn Camp Prong; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is October.
