The scenic beauty of Cumberland County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. The campgrounds here at Mammys Creek are pretty good. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations
in advance you're all set. There are no other stretches to paddle along Mammys Creek than the US 70 to US 27 stretch. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your sleeping bag. The river winds through the Cumberland Plateau Mountains and you get great scenery.
A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Tennessee tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable.
