Whitewater paddling here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is a great experience. This stretch is very short so no need to bring snacks. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're
| willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. The scenic beauty of Tennessee and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.

the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 40's, and night lows at Moccasin Creek through the winter regularly drop into the 20's. Moccasin Creek is a wet spot that gets a lot of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is March; October meanwhile is the driest month.
