Briefly about the general area: If you're here, you might as well stop by Curley Maple Gap, and do take a hike on the No Business Trail. Nolichucky   River is a wet site that gets much precipitation; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is October. High temperatures at Nolichucky River through the days of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Nolichucky River.
