The North River Campground to Tellico River stretch of North River in Tennessee is 2 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. This is a somewhat short section so better bring some good walking shoes. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The wonderful Monroe County scenery and the cool fresh water have people coming here. This is     the only paddling section along North River. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Through the warm months here at North River, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures   drop down into the 60's. The high level of rainfall makes North River a rather wet place; the wettest month of the year is commonly March, that's the one that rains the most; October on the other hand is the driest. Queen Cove is near North River and is definitely a good site to stop at, and why not take a refreshing hike along the McNabb Creek Trail.
