This stretch of Obed River in Cumberland/ Morgan County is 12 miles long and has been rated as a class I-III section by American Whitewater. The average Tennessee whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. | people there are campgrounds nearby. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. The Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is wonderful. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places.
