The Nemo to Oakdale stretch of Obed River in Tennessee is 7 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-III section of whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. The beautiful Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is     an added bonus. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
