The scenic beauty of Tennessee and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Cliff Springs to TN 85 Bridge stretch is just one of many. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. This stretch is long     enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camp stove too. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Crossville, as you can see on the road map further down. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The beauty of the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is a great plus for this river.
