The Ocoee #3 to Ocoee #2 Dam section of Ocoee River in Polk County is 5 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. The put-in location is a short drive from Cleveland, as you can see on the road map further down. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Tennessee is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. This river system has a few good paddling
stretches and the Ocoee #3 to Ocoee #2 Dam section is one of them. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The natural beauty of Polk County and the water flowing gracefully down Ocoee River have people coming here. Not too many hotels nearby,
you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The Great Smoky Mountains scenery is wonderful.

River you hit upon Pressley Cove which is a tremendous location to go to, and going for a hike on the Dry Pond Lead Trail is always a good adventure. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Ocoee River. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 60's. For the duration of the
winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows through the winter for Ocoee River tend to be in the 20's. This site, the Great Smoky Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Near Ocoee River you locate the Rogers Branch Trail which is a great hiking trail.
