  The Bridge at Hartford to Denton stretch of Pigeon River in Tennessee is 4.7 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II(III) section. The wonderful -blank- County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Pigeon River will make you feel great. There arenít any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting
    a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so you'd better
keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. The Great Smoky Mountains scenery is wonderful. There are no other stretches to paddle along Pigeon River than the Bridge at Hartford to Denton stretch. The campgrounds here at Pigeon River are pretty good.
