The scenic beauty of Tennessee and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Tennessee are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. This is the only paddling stretch along Pine Creek. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. The beauty of the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is a great plus for this river. This stretch of Pine Creek in Tennessee is 1.62 miles long and is a class IV-V section of whitewater according
to American Whitewater. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. This is a bit of a short stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch.
Briefly about the general area: Don't leave Pine Creek without first paying a visit to O and W Rapids, and if you want to explore some out of the ordinary stuff, explore The Narrows. at Pine Creek reach the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 40's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Pine Creek fall into the 20's.
