Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This stretch of Little Possum Creek in Tennessee is 6.5 miles long and is a class V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. There's camping available near Little Possum Creek. The beautiful Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is an added bonus. This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The Waldens Ridge to Bakewell section is one of many paddling sections in this river system.
