The starting location is a short drive from Chattanooga, as you can see on the road map further down. The wonderful Tennessee scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Tennessee are often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are plenty of other sections
in this river system that can be paddled as well. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. This is a bit of a short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. The pipeline to Suck Confluence section of North Suck Creek is 2.4
miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III-IV+(V) section. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The wild scenery of the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is great. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers.
Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at North Suck Creek regularly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's
while North Suck Creek night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 20's. All the water falling down from the sky makes North Suck Creek a wet spot; through the month of March you get the most rain around here; the driest month is June.
