The starting point is not too far from Chattanooga, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This section of North Suck Creek in Marion/Sequatchie County is 2.4 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV+(V) section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Tennessee tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep
you coming back for more. There's camping available near North Suck Creek. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is not the only paddling stretch
in this river system, there are others too. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. The river winds through the Cumberland Plateau Mountains and you get great scenery. This is a bit of a short stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. The scenic beauty of Tennessee and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile.

80's at North Suck Creek. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at North Suck Creek. North Suck Creek ordinarily gets much rain; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month.
